A century united : the centenary history of Southend United

Miles, Peter, 1969-2007
Books
The full story of the club is told within these pages from football in the Borough during Victorian times, to that momentous meeting in a local hostelry in May 1906 right up to to the latest campaign under the guidance of Steve Tilson. Within its pages are a detailed written account of the first 100 years, which is handsomely augmented by a profusion of illustrations many of which have never been published before. Reproduced for the first time are many rare programme covers and other items of memorabilia from the clubs long history. "A Century United" is the culmination of approximately four years research and writing for the authors and is without doubt the definitive oral history of the first 100 years of Southend United Football Club.
